Performances

Visually, the film is stunning. The Sicily backdrop looks grand, and the cinematography captures the glamour beautifully. The songs and background score are pleasant and suit the mood. But the core problem is glaring: despite revolving around modern relationships, the film lacks the strong emotional conflict needed to sustain audience interest.

The first half focuses on parties and casual fun, offering a few good moments and sharp dialogues. The second half shifts to emotional territory but only gets things right towards the climax. The biggest letdown? The emotional bonding between the leads never feels authentic or moving.

In love dramas, audiences must connect with the characters’ inner conflicts. Cocktail 2 fails here. The characters behave inconsistently, making it hard to understand their motivations even during emotional scenes.

Rashmika Mandanna‘s character arc is poorly designed and underdeveloped. Kriti Sanon‘s role starts promisingly but loses steam midway. Shahid Kapoor fares better than both female leads, but his character fails to deliver the expected balance of charm and depth.
